Marangu cultural tour

Drive to Marangu Gate (1900m) for Kilimanjaro views and photos. Furthermore, immerse yourself in Chagga culture and history. Following this, visit a local coffee farm to learn about cultivation, processing, and roasting, culminating in a fresh brew. Then, depart for Ndoro Waterfalls, hiking through lush landscapes (1-hour descent). Finally, relax and swim at the waterfall’s base.

Marangu Tour

Materuni waterfall

Standing 150m high and nestled in the lush green forests on the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro, a Materuni waterfalls tour is an ideal getaway for those strapped for time. The waterfalls are located 30 minutes from Moshi town. This tour is accompanied by a visit to the Materuni village as well as a coffee tour. You will depart the lodge and head to the Materuni village. While at the village you will get to explore the lives of the Chagga people and do a coffee tour to see how the locals grow and brew coffee. After the coffee tour you will head to the waterfalls where you will have your packed lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon. Afterwards you will be transferred back to the lodge. (Option of having picnic boxes or hot lunch at the lodge)

Marangu Day Trip to Mandara Hut

The Marangu Day Trip to Mandara Hut offers a thrilling taste of Mount Kilimanjaro’s legendary trekking experience, perfect for those who want to explore the mountain without committing to a full ascent. Starting at the Marangu Gate (1,900m), the journey takes you through the lush rainforest, where you can spot a variety of wildlife and exotic plant species. As you hike, the trail gradually ascends, offering glimpses of the mountain’s grandeur and the surrounding landscapes.

Cycling Tour (TPC)

TPC (Sugarcane plantation tour) Enjoy a relaxing ride from Moshi town to TPC, which is the oldest sugar cane plantation in Tanzania. This is a great way to see the country side and experience some of the finest food in the region, at The Planters restaurant. You will cycle south through the sugar cane fields towards TPC Club where your tour ends. You will have lunch at The Planters restaurant and enjoy a relaxing afternoon before being transferred back to the lodge. The tour takes approximately 5-6 hours.

Serval Wildlife

Serval Wildlife Sanctuary in Tanzania is a unique ecotourism destination located in the Siha District of the Kilimanjaro Region. It offers a distinctive wildlife experience where visitors can encounter a variety of animals, including African lions, colobus monkeys, Masai giraffes, and bat-eared foxes. The sanctuary is also known for its meticulously curated ecosystem, boasting over 3,000 hand-planted endemic plants that support the resident wildlife.

Chemka Hotspring

The Kikuletwa Spring, also known as Chemka Hot Springs, is a hidden oasis in the midst of Tanzania’s savannah, offering a refreshing escape for both locals and visitors. Located about an hour’s drive from Moshi, this natural spring is renowned for its crystal-clear, turquoise waters that are naturally heated by underground geothermal activity, creating a perfect spot for swimming and relaxation.
